Contract Document Schedule

The Contract Document Schedule Form is used to establish Preliminary Designations (means of communication) for Drafting Sheets and is also used to reflect the progress of each Sheet. The following procedure is recommended:

  1. Under "Sheet Title" on form, list the Sheets that are expected to be included in the Project leaving space between Sheet Titles for those which are added as the Project progresses.
  1. Assign each Sheet a letter such as "A," "C," etc., insert in column "Prelim. Sheet No." on form, and reflect this letter in the lower right-hand comer of the tracing Sheet itself. This establishes a Designation for that particular Sheet throughout the Construction Document Phase. Sections, Details, etc. can immediately be numbered and referenced to that particular Sheet establishing a means of communication.

  2. When the total number of Architectural Sheets is established, they are placed in the column "Final Sheet No." on the form and all "letters" on Drawings are converted to numbers.

  3. Consultants may follow a similar procedure "in-house" by using a similar system such as assigning Preliminary Sheet Numbers such as S-1, M-1, E-1, for means of communication and then converting to the assigned numbers .
