First Floor Plan - Plumbing


Checklist

  1. Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plan.
    1. Layout shall agree with Architectural Drawings.
  2. Indication of North.
  3. "Drawing Title Designation" for Floor Plan.
  4. Reference items of Plumbing Plans to the details of these items appearing on other sheets (Riser diagrams, etc.)
  5. Include a note to read: "See Sheet (Information Sheet) for clarification of Symbols used."
  6. Column Reference Grids.
    1. Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
  7. Room Names and Numbers.
    1. Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
  8. Coordinate the location of underground piping with foundation.
    1. Piling and Pile Caps.
    2. Spread footings and grade beams.
  9. Indicate location of vertical roof leaders from levels above.
  10. Water supply to vending machines (if applicable).
  11. Clearly distinguish between lines underground, lines in slab, lines above ceilings, etc.
  12. Floor drains, trench drains, cleanouts, etc.
    1. Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
    2. Clearly indicate if cleanout is in floor or wall.
    3. Cleanout covers compatible with floor or wall finishes.
  13. Rough-in for future expansion.
  14. Hose Bibs.
    1. Size to suit wall construction and thickness.
    2. Size to suit wall construction and thickness.
    3. Mounting height.
  15. All plumbing fixtures (toilets, lavatories, etc.) shall be designated by some method (WC-1, S-1, etc.) and coordinate with the Project Manual.
  16. Waste and Vent Piping indicated.
  17. Sections and details of portions which require clarification.
  18. Bed pan cleaners indicated.
  19. Showers shown with location of shower, location of head and curtain. Prevent shower head from spraying water against curtain and onto adjacent floor.
  20. Coordinate plumbing lines, chair carriers, etc. with wall thicknesses shown on Architectural Drawings. Sufficient clearance must be provided for plumbing.
  21. Flush valves at handicapped toilet stalls be low enough as not to interfere with grab behind toilet.
  22. Check depth of counter tops when selecting lavatories and sinks.
  23. Coordinate and inform Project Architect of the need for access panels in ceilings.
  24. Put Pictorial Views of Plumbing Fixture such as toilets, lavatories, electric water cooler, etc. directly on the working drawings.
