First Floor Plan - Plumbing
Checklist
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plan.
- Layout shall agree with Architectural Drawings.
- Indication of North.
- "Drawing Title Designation" for Floor Plan.
- Reference items of Plumbing Plans to the details of these items appearing on other sheets (Riser diagrams, etc.)
- Include a note to read: "See Sheet (Information Sheet) for clarification of Symbols used."
- Column Reference Grids.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Room Names and Numbers.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Coordinate the location of underground piping with foundation.
- Piling and Pile Caps.
- Spread footings and grade beams.
- Indicate location of vertical roof leaders from levels above.
- Water supply to vending machines (if applicable).
- Clearly distinguish between lines underground, lines in slab, lines above ceilings, etc.
- Floor drains, trench drains, cleanouts, etc.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Clearly indicate if cleanout is in floor or wall.
- Cleanout covers compatible with floor or wall finishes.
- Rough-in for future expansion.
- Hose Bibs.
- Size to suit wall construction and thickness.
- Size to suit wall construction and thickness.
- Mounting height.
- All plumbing fixtures (toilets, lavatories, etc.) shall be designated by some method (WC-1, S-1, etc.) and coordinate with the Project Manual.
- Waste and Vent Piping indicated.
- Sections and details of portions which require clarification.
- Bed pan cleaners indicated.
- Showers shown with location of shower, location of head and curtain. Prevent shower head from spraying water against curtain and onto adjacent floor.
- Coordinate plumbing lines, chair carriers, etc. with wall thicknesses shown on Architectural Drawings. Sufficient clearance must be provided for plumbing.
- Flush valves at handicapped toilet stalls be low enough as not to interfere with grab behind toilet.
- Check depth of counter tops when selecting lavatories and sinks.
- Coordinate and inform Project Architect of the need for access panels in ceilings.
- Put Pictorial Views of Plumbing Fixture such as toilets, lavatories, electric water cooler, etc. directly on the working drawings.
