Reference Designation
Reference Designation should be used when items appearing on Floor Plans, Elevations, etc. are repetitive.
Its use is utilization most effectively for repetitive items occurring in Exterior Wall construction, clarification of Interior Partition construction, Toilet Room accessories, Fire Extinguishers, etc. which are not defined by other designations.
Extremely useful when working Drawings will reduced to half size.
Each item should be fully described and assigned a number under "Clarification of Reference Designations."
