Floor Plans - HVAC
Checklist
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plan.
- Layout shall agree with Architectural Drawings.
- Indication of North.
- "Drawing Title Designation" for Floor Plan.
- Reference items on HV AC Plans to the details of these items appearing on other sheets.
- Include a note to read: "See Sheet (Information Sheet) for clarification of Symbols used."
- Column Reference Grids.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Room Names and Numbers
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Air Handling Units, Convectors, Ductwork, etc.
- Units numbered and scheduled.
- Ductwork arranged to realistically fit in the space available.
- Cut sections if necessary to clarify ductwork arrangements.
- Coordinate with Structural Drawings, Piping Drawings, Electrical Drawings, etc.
- Piping for Air-Conditioning and Heating Units.
- Clearly distinguish between pipe underground, below ceilings, above ceilings, etc.
- Diffusers, grilles, etc.
- Coordinate location with Reflected Ceiling Plan and Electrical Plan.
- Coordinate type of diffuser grille, etc. with type of ceiling used (concealed spline, exposed grid, etc.)
- Exhaust Fans
- Number each and Schedule.
- Variable Air Volume Boxes
- Number each and Schedule.
- Humidifiers.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Chillers.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Reheat Coils.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Pumps.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Boilers
- Number each and Schedule.
- Gas Piping, Fuel Oil Supply and Return, and Pump.
- Feedwater Supply and Return and Pump.
- Stearn - Flues.
- Hot Water Heaters.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Sound Attenuators.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Water Coils.
- Number each and Schedule.
- Doors requiring undercutting or doors to receive louvers.
- Coordinate louver size with door size.
- Exhaust for Restrooms, Engine Maintenance, Janitor Rooms, etc.
- Ventilation for rooms with dry type transformers.
- Check location of exhaust flues, hot water heater flues, boiler flues, roof top units, etc. which would look unsightly when seen from the ground.
- Thermostats.
- Indicate mounting height.
- Indicate if locked covers are required.
- Check U.L. System, selected for the Project, for conformance of the Drawings and Specification with the U.L. System.
- Future expansion provisions.
- Fire and Smoke Dampers.
- Housekeeping concrete pads under equipment.
- Pressure relief for vestibules with sets of doors.
- Floor grilles for raised access (computer) flooring.
- Duct insulation thickness indicated for supply and return.
- Vibration Isolation.
