Checklist

  1. Column Reference Grids.
  2. Indication of North.
  3. "Drawing Title Designation."
  4. Plan shall agree with Floor Plan.
  5. Ceiling Grid Pattern.
  6. Lighting Fixture (Recessed and surface mounted).
  7. Supply Diffusers, Return Air Grilles, Exhaust Grilles, etc.
  8. Access Panels
    1. Coordinate with Mechanical Consultant as to where access panels are needed in inaccessible ceilings.
  9. Access Units in partially accessible ceilings.
  10. Sprinkler Heads
    1. If Sprinkler Heads are to be placed in a particular location in regard to grid, they should be indicated.
  11. Changes in Ceiling Heights.
  12. Special Ceiling Patterns.
  13. Exposed Beams.
  14. Skylights.
  15. Roof Hatches.
  16. Expansion Joints and Control Joints.
  17. Incorporate furring over cabinets and shelves into Reflected Ceiling Plan.
  18. Cubicle Tracks, IV Tracks, X-ray Equipment Tracks, etc.
  19. Surgery Lights.
  20. Speakers.
  21. Kitchen Exhaust Hoods.
  22. "Section or Detail References."
  23. Details of changes in Ceiling Height, Interior Soffits, Drapery Pockets, etc.
  24. Extend of Sound Attentuation Overlay Panels.
  25. Exterior Canopies - Coordinate lighting and control joint locations with Electrical Drawings.
  26. Clarify extent of Reglets in soffits and where they start and end.
  27. Coordinate air-conditioning diffuser type, light fixture type, speaker type, etc. with ceiling system used (especially with concealed spline system.)
  28. Check for and detail "Draft Stops" above ceilings where required.
  29. Clarification of symbols used.
    1. If possible, use the same graphic representation on Reflected Ceiling Plans as used on HV AC, Lighting, Communication, and other Floor Plans.
