Checklist
Indicate Storefront on Floor Plans by means of an "Elevation Designation Symbol."
Schedule doors in Storefront on Floor Plans with a "Door Designation Symbol" with the bottom half shaded with vertical lines. This number is reflected in the "Frame and Door Schedule."
Elevate Storefront and indicate "Section Designation Symbols."
Clearly define types of glass in Storefront by the use of notes or by "Keynoting," that is the use of the "Reference Designation," which is a hexagon with a number in it.
Check the latest edition of the Manual of the Louisiana State Fire Marshal in regard to "Safety Glazing in Hazardous Locations" for glass applications.
Draw Storefront Details (horizontal and vertical sections) on same sheet as Storefront Elevations (if a small project) or group details on separate sheets immediately following Storefront Elevations (if a large project).
Verify that all hardware is specified under Storefront Section and/or Hardware Section of Project Manual.
Check type of door for security features. (Some "Storefront entrances are subject to "break-ins.")
Check for HVAC pressure relief when Storefront forms vestibules with sets of doors.
Always protect "Storefront Entrances" from direct exposure to rainfall by means of canopies, etc.
