Floor Plan - Power
Checklist
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plan.
- Layout shall agree with Architectural Drawings.
- Indication of North.
- "Drawing Title Designation" for Floor Plan.
- Reference items on Power Plans to the details of these items appearing on other sheets.
- Include a note to read: "See Sheet __ (Information Sheet) for clarification of Symbols used." List any additional Symbols on Electrical Sheets.
- Column Reference Grids.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Room Names and Numbers.
- Coordinate with Architectural Floor Plans.
- Indicate all Receptacles, Telephone Outlets, Special Outlets, etc. and all Power and Switching to Fans, Air-conditioning Units, Pumps, Electrical Water Coolers, Air Volume Boxes, etc ..
- Use "Reference Designations" (hexagons) for repetitive items with a legend of "Clarification of Reference Designations."
- Horizontally dimension all electrical devices which require specific locations such as Floor Outlets, Outlets which relate to specific room arrangements, etc.
- Indicate mounting height of Outlets and Devices which require mounting heights to conform with specific functions.
- Coor-dinate mounting heights with Millwork arrd Casework Details.
- Mount Duplex Receptacles horizontally above Millwork, Casework, etc.
- Clearly indicate Electrical and Telephone Conduit run .under slabs, in slabs, in walls, above ceilings, etc.
- Indicate Outlets in Corridors for cleaning machines.
- Indicate Exterior Weatherproof Outlets with mounting height and installation detail.
- Coordinate location of Power Panels with Lighting Panels, Emergency Panels, etc. and coordinate with Panelboard Schedules.
- Verify space allotted for Panels is, in reality, sufficient to accommodate Panels.
- Verify requirements of telephone company and special electrical functions.
- Power for future expansion.
- Elevator, Escalator, and Pit requirements.
- Coordinate with Elevator specifications.
- Electrical power to Doors and Devices with electronic hardware or power operation.
- Coordinate with Hardware Specifications.
- Indicate how Mechanical Flow Meters are to be wired to perform specific functions.
- Coordinate with "Irrigation Drawings" for power to Automatic Controller.
