Section or Detail Designation
Section or Detail Designations (cuts) should be drawn with authority (heavy).
Most Structural Engineers "cut" sections in plan in a clockwise rotation with the direction of the cutting plane in the same direction. If possible, Architectural Sections should follow this method or be done, preferably, as out-lined under "Wall Sections."
Avoid extending designations through other items appearing on Drawings.
Sections or Details appearing on Sheets on which they are drawn should be numbered consecutively starting with number 1 on each sheet. These numbers are then transferred to the Sections or Details appearing on Floor Plans, Elevations, Roof Plans, etc.
